Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Wellbeing Service

Mobile-first wellbeing website

Background

Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Wellbeing Service (formerly North Staffordshire Wellbeing Service) is a team of NHS professionals trained to specialise in offering effective, evidence-based treatments for a wide range of common mental health difficulties, such as mild to moderate anxiety and depression, that affect most of us at some point in our lives.

Bitjam were approached to design a new website to coincide with county-wide service expansion, as well as integrating a mobile-first design. A secure self-referral system that links directly to clinical patient management systems would underpin the design of the site, with easy accessibility to users with a range of abilities. Having been involved since the beginning, developing the content and the user experience, we developed an anonymous Peer-to-Peer forum, which is now being access by more than 2000 users monthly.

The Project

We built a bespoke mobile-first website as well as a site for the traditional PC experience. The project was a collaborative effort, working with patient management software developers to create a secure self-referral form and with specialist film-makers to provide video content.

Bitjam has built and maintain the secure cloud infrastructure hosting the site with SSL security to ensure privacy.

Outcomes

  • Improved referral rates.
  • Better informed patients.
  • Reduced patient anxiety when making initial appointments.
  • Reduced DNA’s (Did Not Attend) leading to less time-wasting.

Client Testimonilas

“The website is working wonderfully, and we are already receiving a lot of self-referrals directly through it. It has really enhanced the quality of our service for patients”.
