Since 2006 bITjAM has brought together creativity and digital technology for the purpose of engaging and connecting communities together. During the last 5 years or so we have worked on numerous projects bringing a unique digital element to each and everyone of these ventures. Had a great session at Shop-Stoke today. Today turned out to be more of a workshop for 2 local artists wishing to look at areas such as sound production and visual mixing (VJ’ing). The interesting point here is the fact they both brought material with them to mix, burn, fx and play with. Rachel had [...]

Declining attendances has led many art galleries to embrace new media, this BBC video discusses how many galleries are making art more accessible by using interactive new media. With many thanks to Dan and Steve who brought a number of fantastic DIY noise machines into the jam last night at Social Boom Stoke. We had a few cardboard based circuit board machines and the infectious recycled hard drive sub bass unit (think DJ back spin creating BOOM!) Well there’s videos to watch on [...]
Back from the wilderness known as the far east our long term circuit bending friend Dan is back. Here’s a message from the polyoxybenzylmethylenglycolanhydride (bakelight) eating fiend: I am probably mostly known as Danny Rave, although I prefer to perform under the name of Uncle Normal. I have always enjoyed playing with battery powered kiddies [...]

More on this as we get the news… Carl

Hello, as you may know we’ve been testing out ways of creating a digital space in venues where we do any digital performances, whether that’s live music venues, conference rooms, creative spaces or even public areas. We believe to increase the participatory and social element of any digitally based performances, there needs to be a [...]
